3.8-inch US James Shell Type 2

📜 Description

This is a very attractive example of a US James type 2 projectile! The type two James is much different that the type 1 or "birdcage" James because it has vertical flanges that held on the led sabot instead of the "cage" on the type 1 shells. This shell is missing its sabot and fuze. These shells are listed as a rarity 7 in the Dickey & George projectile book (page 155). This shell would be a great addition to any shell collection!
Shell is inert, cleaned and coated.
