Confederate Artillery Short Sword by McElroy

This is an excellent example of a Confederate Artillery Short Sword made by the W.J. McElroy firm of Macon Georgia! This is a classic example of a short sword made by the E.J. McElroy firm that is in great condition. These swords not only served as weapons for confederate cannoneers but also served as a tool to clear away limbs and brush to get the cannons into position. There are a few dings on the handle and guard but overall is still in great condition! This would be an excellent blade to add to any Confederate collection!
The sword measures at 24" long, with roughly 18 1/2" of that being the blade. There are a couple of air bubbles from casting visible on the guard as well.
