Exceptional Large Confederate Bowie Knife

This is an exceptional, large, untouched, Confederate Bowie knife! This particular knife has a spear point style blade and a straight cross-guard. The blade (likely made from a file by a blacksmith) measures at 12 7/8 inches long. The knife's total length measures at 17 1/4 inches. The width of the guard measures at 4 1/4 inches. The knife has a beautiful, untouched washer peen. The soldier who carried this knife scratched "HJM" into the handle, unfortunately we don't know what these initials mean. This knife also comes with the original leather scabbard. This would be a fantastic piece to add to any civil war or bowie knife collection !
