This is a very nice example of a 1938 produced German Luftwaffe buckle! This buckle is the aluminum variety. This buckle was issued with paint on it but years of service has worn it away. The back of the buckle is all complete with the roller bar with prongs as well as the belt catch. The buckle is marked just in front of the catch with "F.R." which is the maker and "38" which denotes the year of manufacture. This is a very visually appealing buckle and would be a great addition to any WWII or German collection!
