This is an excellent example of the M3 or "tanker" 1911 holster used by the US during WWII. These holsters are designed to be worn across the body where the pistol would be positioned under your arm. The leather is stiff but the holster is free of issues! It is made by ENGER KRESS as is stamped on the back.
